MCBA is located in Albert Park at MSAC (Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre) in central Melbourne. MCBA is the newest Association under the Basketball Victoria Banner. We were established in October 2021 to provide the community of Port Phillip and Melbourne Central region with a sporting and social infrastructure to develop and promote personal, team and social skills in a sporting environment.
In 2022, MCBA signed an unprecedented 15 year agreement with the State Sports Trust of Victoria to represent the interests of basketball opportunities at MSAC and other venues from beginner, junior and seniors competitions at state and national level.
MCBA is managed by a board that provides the strategic direction of the association including the conduct, encouragement, promotion and administration of basketball throughout Victoria, the City of Port Phillip and its surrounding areas.
